Newdegate House stands in two acres of stunning gardens, and is located in Wimbish, near Saffron Walden - a beautiful part of the Essex countryside.

Newdegate House is named after the small town in Western Australia where we spent three years farming in the 1960's.
There is a friendly and informal atmosphere waiting for our guests who will find our location ideal for exploring this part of Essex; with the pretty villages of Thaxted, Finchingfield and the market town of Saffron Walden close by.

The location offers easy access to the M11; beautiful Audley End House is just a ten minute drive, Stansted Airport is a convenient 20 minute drive and the university city of Cambridge and Duxford war museum are just a thirty minute drive. There is ample off road parking at the rear off the house.

Our bedrooms are cosy and well equipped, guests can relax in the conservatory overlooking the garden, or in warmer weather there is a large summer house to unwind and enjoy the garden.

We offer a variety of breakfast options and also tray snacks, which are served until 8.00 pm.
